Terms of Service

Effective October 1, 2026 · Last updated October 12, 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Hola website, the Hola inspector app and related services. By creating an account or accepting a job, you agree to these terms.

1. Who we are

Hola Home Service (“Hola”, “we”, “us”) runs a platform that connects independent home inspectors with clients who need residential inspections. Hola is not a home inspection company and does not perform inspections itself.

2. Eligibility

To use Hola as an inspector you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract
  • Hold any license or certification your state requires to perform home inspections
  • Carry errors and omissions (E&O) insurance and keep it current
  • Pass a background check and keep your account information accurate

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us right away if you believe your account has been used without permission.

We may suspend or close accounts that provide false information, let required credentials lapse, or violate these terms.

4. Independent contractor relationship

You use Hola as an independent business, not as an employee, partner or agent of Hola. You decide which offers to accept, when you work and how you perform each inspection, consistent with professional standards and the law in your state.

You are responsible for your own taxes, tools, vehicle, insurance and business expenses.

5. Job offers and inspections

Offers show the property, time window and fee before you accept. Once you accept a job, you agree to arrive within the time window, perform the inspection to the standards of practice that apply in your state, and complete the report in the Hola app.

If you can no longer make an accepted job, release it in the app as early as possible. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may limit the offers you receive.

6. Fees and payment

The fee shown on an offer is the amount you will be paid for that job. Payment is sent to the bank account on file after Hola’s quality review approves the report. If changes are needed, the job is returned to you with notes and payment is sent once the revised report is approved.

You must provide a valid W-9 before receiving payouts. We issue a 1099-NEC each year as required by law.

7. Reports and content

You keep responsibility for the professional findings in your reports. You grant Hola a license to store, review, format and deliver your reports, photos, video and notes to the client and to use them to operate and improve the service.

Do not upload content that is unlawful, misleading, or that you do not have the right to share.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Contact Hola clients to move a booked job off the platform
  • Misrepresent your credentials, findings or time on site
  • Interfere with the app, attempt to access other accounts, or reverse-engineer the service
  • Use the service in violation of any law or regulation

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Hola is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any amount greater than the fees paid to you through Hola in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Changes and termination

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in the app before they take effect. You may close your account at any time from the app or by contacting us.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Hola Home Service is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts located there, unless the law of your state requires otherwise.
